Global Technical Requirements

Digital Survey

Detailed digital imagery is recorded of the physical charge point parking bay, the EV charger from multiple angles including the information screen, payment terminal, charge leads, mounting plinth and crash protection to name a few. Providing the CPO with a detailed visual report of the actual condition at the time of inspection.

Thermal Inspection Survey

Systematically assessing the temperature levels and heat signature of the charge point, plus external components of the physical EV charge point. This survey illustrates to the CPO potential hazards or sub-performance of the charge point enabling them to take proactive action to ensure safety, uptime and efficiency at the charge point. It also allows the CPO to record potential degradation of individual components over the operational cycle of the charge point.

Location Survey

Using GNSS survey receivers, EVCI technicians update and re-plot the actual location of the charge point to within 20mml accuracy, referencing the charge point ID with these enhanced location details ensuring that the CPO service teams and the consumer can navigate successfully to the exact location of this specific charge point.

0.5% tolerance standard verification

The 0.5% calibration tolerance ensures that measuring instruments at EVI charge stations maintain accuracy within a 0.5% margin of error, ensuring consistent, repeatable and referenced billing to the consumer. Also and just as importantly, to the tax authorities. This is in continuation of and in alignment with existing retail fuel dispensers (petrol pumps) and road tanker mounted meter measuring systems regulations.
